Dark Room Issues

The main issue...I HATE THE DARK!

I was just in the dark room at my college and we had the lights off for like 2 mins and I totally freaked!!!
I've always been scared of the dark, well not 'the dark' but its genrally not being able to see.
Being in the dark, blinkfold even closing my eyes for a long periods of time really freaks me out and makes me feel really uncomfortable.
I feel like such a baby, but I can't help it.
